Reflect on Your Legacy

"Yesterday was a special day for many as we celebrated Mother's Day with our family. My wife's church recognized those mom's in attendance over the age of 70 and reflected on the legacy of the children and grandchildren in attendance for the service. It was special and made me think about my own legacy, as a leader.

Am I just spinning plates from day to day, managing today's issues in rapid fire, and repeating again the next day? As a leader, we must think beyond today's issue to tomorrow's challenges and who will be in place to face them. While we can't ignore the hot issues coming at us today, we also need to keep an eye on tomorrow and be deliberate about investing in and developing the talent around us.
